Education
Canada's public education system is as much a part of this country's economic engine as it is a public service. From this perspective, Friuch Consulting has provided services to large institutions like the University of British Columbia and to the organizations that support these institutions such as the Industry Training Authority of BC and the Canadian Polytechnics Association.
With more than six substantial contracts underway and completed in this sector, Friuch Consulting is quickly gaining recognition for its ability to provide program review, market intelligence, curriculum development, public policy and business development for Canadian education institutions.
If you are a post-secondary education institution and you want to find new ways to engage your students, work closer with the community that will hire your grads, develop new programs or revamp old programs, contact Friuch Consulting for a free initial consultation. Supporting institutions are also welcome to contact Friuch to learn more about our program review expertise.
In addition to these consulting services, Aaron Cruikshank, Principal of Friuch Consulting sits on the Board of Directors for Simon Fraser University's Alumni Association, works closely with the Learning Disabilities Association of Vancouver & British Columbia and currently teaches several courses through the Continuing Studies Department at UBC.

“I met Aaron in 2003 while working on a research project forecasting the economic impact of emerging technologies in British Columbia for the Premier's Technology Council. Aaron is a talented researcher. He has an excellent grasp of research methodologies and understands how to manage research initiatives. Aaron is a warm and insightful people-oriented person driven by principles and integrity.” William Koty, Director, Applied Degrees, UBC
back to topIndustry Training Authority of British Columbia
In 2004, Friuch Consulting was contracted by the Industry Training Authority of BC to help with a program review of all publicly funded trades training in BC. Like most system-wide program reviews, the exercise was met with a high degree of resistance from the institutions that were reviewed but the data generated gave the ITA a valuable and complete understanding of enrollment levels, class sizes, curriculum variants and geographic distribution of training.
One of the best reasons to use an independent consulting firm like Friuch Consulting for a program review is that it draws negative feedback away from the client and focuses it on a third party. This way, when it comes time to implement changes, partnerships will continue to function.
