Razor Technologies came to Aaron Cruikshank, Principal of Friuch Consulting and Dave Thomas at Rocket Builders with a problem – they had a great piece of intellectual property in the wireless area but they were not sure how to get it to market quickly. After re-examining their value proposition, Rocket Builders recommended a different approach, thoroughly explored the best markets to enter with a new product and worked with Razor to the point where they were entering talks with major clients, had secured their first round of financing and just received a sizeable R&D grant from the National Research Council.

By exploring where their strengths lay in their existing install base, Rocket Builders was able to quickly identify new markets to expand into, articulate use cases that could be used as a sales and marketing tool before finally validating those use cases and the market opportunity with real potential customers in three new markets.

MailChannels is developing an anti-spam, traffic-shaping solution. Aaron Cruikshank, Principal of Friuch Consulting first worked with JURAT in 2005 when Aaron was on contract with BC Hydro. JURAT was an enterprise stakeholder engagement software vendor based in Bendigo, Australia. Since then, Aaron has been helping JURAT as an advisor after Aaron and Catherine Goldwater (the executive team at JURAT) moved the company's headquarters to Victoria, British Columbia in mid-2007.
Going forward, Aaron will be helping JURAT Canada with business development, lead generation and market positioning as this innovative software company grows in its new home.
