Can Someone Keep An Eye On CERN For Me Tonight?

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Tonight is the big CERN LHC/ARMAGEDDON party in Vancouver where me and 50 of my closest friends are going to tip some pints to celebrate our impending doom. The problem is that I can’t be a dilligent CERN LHC watchdog once my BAC gets over 0.08 so I need someone to keep an eye on [...]

CERN Didn’t Blow Up World Yesterday, Armageddon Now Scheduled For 2012

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

Well, I am glad that I was wrong in my dire predictions of the worlds’ doom yesterday. It’s telling that I didn’t seek vengence on my enemies without fear of retribution - maybe I didn’t believe my own predictions as much as I claimed…
Now is not the time to stop panicking. What happened yesterday was [...]

CERN: Will It Tear Earth A New Matter Hole Tomorrow?

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

I’ve been accused of stirring up unnecessary fear and sensationalism around the activation of the CERN Large Hadron Collider - set to take place tomorrow (September 10, 2008). I’m not denying that I am stirring up controversy in my own, small way but I hold that there is still reason for concern. Sure, the scientists [...]

Burnt Out… ScrapBlogging… Someone Kill Me

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

I know I haven’t been posting much this week. I’ve completely overloaded with deadlines and projects wrapping up this week. In an e-mail conversation back and forth with my friend Caroline this evening… she double dog dared me to do a ScrapBlog. Here is the horrific result:

Enjoy.

Virtual Wastepaper Basketball Better For Environment Than Real Thing

Friday, August 1st, 2008

It’s Friday afternoon. I have deadlines to meet but what am I doing? I’m playing a virtual wastepaper basketball game.
Check it out here. (turn off your sound if you’re at work).
While playing it, I wondered for a moment if I was saving GHG emissions by playing the virtual version of this game or if I’d [...]

HHO Redux - The Internet Has Arrived

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

I have been getting a huge spike in traffic for my blog lately and 90% of it has been for an article I wrote back in March about HHO Boost systems for your car. If you haven’t read the article, it’s basically a mini fuel cell that purportedly turns tap water into “brown’s gas” which, [...]

How To Entertain Your Neighbours with Fake Lawyer Letters

Monday, July 14th, 2008

I apologize for being a bit lax on my blogging schedule these past few weeks. I will get back to some serious writing this week. I took a quasi-vacation last week in which I didn’t do a heck of a lot of work and played with my kids lots, drank beer, got a tan, hung [...]

Tired of Being Crammed Between Gen X and Gen Y?

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

This is something that I swore I would never advertise because I feel it is a liability to my business - I am 30 years old. Now that I’ve put that out there, it’s a much more interesting conversation to explore why my age has been a liability in my business these past five years.
Let [...]

The Hatemail Bag

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

When I go out to do research for clients, sometimes I have to send bulk mailers to a large number of people. Earlier this week, I had to send invitations for comments on a new post-secondary education program to several thousand people. Here are some of the better responses I got and how I responded [...]
