Mini Bio: Diana McKenzie
Diana is a Program Leader in the Department of Computers, Media and Technology, Continuing Studies, University of British Columbia. She’s based out of the downtown campus - UBC Robson Square.

I’m just getting to know Diana. She was a client of mine in 2008 when I helped her do some market research on a new program she’s spearheading that will provide Sustainability Management skills to working professionals. I e-mailed Diana on August 6, 2008 and asked her the following questions. Her responses are listed below my questions:
1. Where did you grow up?
Courtenay, on Vancouver Island, BC.
2. What did you want to be when you were a kid?
An Architect… still might be someday…
3. How would you describe to someone like me what you do for a living?
I am a Program Leader for UBC Continuing Studies in Applied Technology at Robson Square, so I assist with managing a portfolio of full-time, part-time and online programs including Network Administration, Multimedia and Business Analysis. I generally do program scheduling, hiring Course Assistants, manage students and instructors, facilitate program curriculum and development of existing or new program areas, including all of the day to day program management tasks. I’m currently working on developing new courses in sustainability.
4. How would you describe what you do to someone who has no idea what your industry is about?
I assist with managing computer or technology based training programs for adults. Continuing Studies focuses on professional development and is more career-oriented and hands-on than a more academic degree program.
